This study examines the strategic role of national cohesion, grounded in Iran's ethnic and religious diversity, in advancing the realization of the model of the New Islamic Civilization. In accordance with the conception of the New Islamic Civilization as a comprehensive civilizational model for humanity, its realization requires the establishment of fundamental domestic foundations, among which national unity and social cohesion constitute the most essential prerequisites. This applied-developmental study employs an integrated methodological approach combining conceptual analysis, structural theorization, and the examination of upstream policy documents. The study population consisted of sixteen experts selected through purposive sampling. The findings identified a total of forty-one strategic factors, including seven strengths, eight weaknesses, thirteen opportunities, and thirteen threats. The results demonstrate that ethnic and religious cohesion represents not only a social necessity but also a strategic asset capable of enhancing Iran's position as a regional power and a model for the broader Islamic world. The study further argues that the realization of the New Islamic Civilization is contingent upon the development of robust social capital founded on the inclusive participation of all ethnic and religious communities. When effectively managed, endogenous diversity arising from ethnic pluralism can be transformed into durable national cohesion, thereby serving as a fundamental driver of civilizational advancement
