Abstract

In light of the country's economic challenges, including sanctions and shocks, sustaining the overall performance of the national economy is critical. The resistance economy seeks to enhance resilience and sustainability, with science and knowledge-based innovation as its cornerstone. Given the significant economic role of the armed forces and their extensive knowledge reserves, this qualitative research aims to develop a model for achieving resistance economy goals through a knowledge-based approach within the armed forces, enhancing their performance using a grounded theory framework.
This developmental and applied study employs qualitative methods, targeting experts and economics professors within the armed forces. Data were collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews, employing purposive snowball sampling. Theoretical saturation determined the completion of interviews. Validity and reliability were confirmed using the alignment method, intra-subject agreement coefficients, and member checks. Data analysis followed Strauss and Corbin's three-stage coding within the grounded theory framework.
The analysis identified six conceptual categories forming the research model's foundation. Results propose seven strategies grouped into three major categories: “supporting innovation,” “transforming and improving systems and structures,” and “developing human resources and management.” These strategies are essential for achieving a knowledge-based resistance economy within the armed forces.
