Abstract

Urban war requires a special weapon due to its specific characteristics and is conducted in a very complex and multidimensional environment. The purpose of this research is to identify effective spatial components in urban warfare based on structural equation modeling with mixed methods. The statistical population of this research includes all experienced commanders and professors of Imam Ali Officer University (AS) and the sampling method is targeted in the quantitative and qualitative part. Structural equations with Smart PLS software have been used for data analysis. In this research, the effective components in urban warfare have been identified and the influencing variables in each component have been determined, and categorized with the opinion of experts, and finally, suggestions have been made for their improvement. The results indicate that the effective components in urban warfare are: the operation scene, the use of weapons, command and control, defense plans, maneuvers and operation plans, operation guidance, information. In other words, paying attention to the investigated indicators can have a significant impact on urban warfare at the 95% confidence level.
