Installations for the supply and distribution of drinking water are exposed to a variety of threats.  In the meantime, biological threats are a priority in the risk of drinking water infrastructure. The focus of this research is on the key elements for passive defense strategies and programs in dealing with biological threats in the field of drinking water distribution.  Therefore, in this article, the "Key elements of biological defense in the field of drinking water distribution" are discussed. The present study is a descriptive-survey research in terms of the purpose of applied-developmental research, a descriptive-survey research in terms of nature and method of collection, and a mixed (quantitative-qualitative) type in terms of data analysis.  It is a tool for collecting information for the descriptive section, library study and taking notes, and for the survey section, a questionnaire and intellectual interaction with experts in this field. In this research, after studying the upstream documents, and the theoretical foundations of the research, the key concepts of statistics and based on this, the key elements including 8 principles, a vision with six characteristics and 6 missions were developed آب آشامیدنی به علت ارتباط آن با حیات و سلامت انسان­ها از اهمیت ویژه­ای برخوردار است. تأسیسات مربوط به تأمین و توزیع آب آشامیدنی در معرض انواع تهدیدات قرار دارند که در این میان تهدیدات زیستی در اولویت خطرپذیری زیرساخت­های آب آشامیدنی است. تمرکز این تحقیق بر ارکان جهت­ساز برای راهبردها و برنامه­های پدافند غیرعامل در مقابله با تهدیدات زیستی در حوزه توزیع آب آشامیدنی است. لذا در این مقاله به «ارکان جهت ساز پدافند زیستی حوزه توزیع آب آشامیدنی» پرداخته‌شده است. پژوهش حاضر به لحاظ هدف تحقیق کاربردی – توسعه­ای، ازلحاظ ماهیت و روش گردآوری یک پژوهش توصیفی - پیمایشی و ازلحاظ تحلیل داده­ها از نوع آمیخته (کمی- کیفی) است که ابزار گردآوری اطلاعات برای بخش توصیفی، مطالعه کتابخانه­ای و فیش­برداری و برای بخش پیمایشی، پرسش­نامه و تعامل فکری با خبرگان این حوزه است. در این تحقیق، پس از مطالعه اسناد بالادستی و مبانی نظری تحقیق، مفاهیم کلیدی احصاء و براین اساس ارکان جهت­ساز شامل 8 اصل، چشم­انداز با 6 مشخصه و 6 هدف تدوین گردید. https://sds.sndu.ac.ir/article_2544_0da080699a814551041728aa845d5f1c.pdf
